ABOUT SOHMA

Built for the life you want to keep living.

SOHMA began with a simple belief:

True wellbeing cannot be reduced to one workout, one diet or one meditation.

It is created through the relationship between how we move, recover, think, nourish ourselves and connect with others.

SOHMA brings those elements together into one integrated lifestyle method.

A more complete idea of health.

For years, people have been encouraged to treat physical fitness, mental wellbeing, nutrition and recovery as separate projects.

This often creates more pressure, more information and more routines to manage.

SOHMA was created to offer something more coherent.

A method where strength supports confidence. Recovery supports movement. Mindfulness supports better choices. Nourishment supports energy. Community supports consistency.

Not a perfect lifestyle.

A more intentional one.

Make lifelong wellbeing feel natural.

Our mission is to help people develop the strength, resilience, awareness and daily habits that support a better quality of life.

We want wellbeing to feel less like an obligation and more like a natural part of how people live.

SOHMA is not about chasing an ideal version of yourself.

It is about building the capacity to participate more fully in your own life.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Principles for the whole of life.

Whole-person wellbeing

The body and mind are not separate projects. Every SOHMA experience should acknowledge their connection.

Sustainable progress

Consistency matters more than intensity. We create practices that can remain meaningful beyond a short-term goal.

Intelligent guidance

Our approach should be informed, responsible and clear, without making wellbeing unnecessarily complicated.

Thoughtful environments

The spaces around us influence how we feel and behave. SOHMA environments should encourage calm, focus and connection.

Human connection

Wellbeing becomes more sustainable when people feel seen, supported and part of a community.

OUR FOUNDERS

Meet the Founders

SOHMA was created by two friends with complementary perspectives on what it means to live well.

Ashley Wolfe-Elder brings a lifelong commitment to physical strength, creativity, design and sustainable health.

Katey Lockwood brings expertise in mindfulness, psychology, personal growth and human behaviour.

Together, they created a method that gives equal importance to physical capability, emotional resilience and meaningful connection.

ASHLEY WOLFE-ELDER

Ashley Wolfe-Elder

Co-Founder | Creator of the SOHMA Method

Ashley Wolfe-Elder co-founded SOHMA with a vision to redefine health as a lifelong journey rather than a short-term goal.

Drawing on more than 30 years of personal practice and professional experience in education, creativity, design and wellbeing, she developed an integrated approach that combines movement, recovery, mindfulness, nutrition and community.

As a teacher specialising in creativity, Ashley developed a deep understanding of how people learn, adapt and form lasting habits. Her career in interior design strengthened her belief that the environments we create can profoundly influence how we think, feel and live.

For more than three decades, Ashley has practised the principles she now shares through SOHMA—training consistently, nourishing her body with intention and prioritising habits that support lifelong strength, energy and resilience.

Her philosophy has also been shaped through years of working alongside strength coach James Griffiths, whose evidence-based approach reinforced her belief in intelligent movement and sustainable lifestyle choices.

Ashley created the SOHMA Method to help people make wellbeing a way of life rather than a temporary destination.

KATEY LOCKWOOD

Katey Lockwood

Co-Founder | Author, Speaker & Wellbeing Coach

Katey Lockwood is an author, speaker and wellbeing entrepreneur whose work brings together philosophy, psychology, neuroscience and human behaviour to help people live with greater purpose, resilience and fulfilment.

As the creator of The Way and Find Your Power, Katey has inspired individuals and organisations to cultivate self-awareness, embrace personal growth and realise more of their potential.

Her evidence-informed approach combines insights from wellbeing science with practical tools that help people change the way they think, lead and live.

Katey’s friendship with Ashley, and the support they have shared through life’s many challenges, became one of the foundations of SOHMA. Together, they recognised that lasting wellbeing requires more than physical fitness. It depends equally on mental resilience, emotional balance and meaningful daily rituals.

As Co-Founder of SOHMA, Katey leads the mindfulness and wellbeing philosophy that underpins the SOHMA Method.

Through guided practices, immersive experiences, retreats and transformational coaching, she helps create a lifestyle where movement, mindfulness and connection work together to support long-term health and wellbeing.

“SOHMA was born from two lifelong passions—one for building physical strength and longevity, the other for cultivating mental resilience and inner wellbeing. Together, we believe that true health is created when the body and mind work in harmony. Our mission is to help people live not only longer lives, but better ones.”

This is wellbeing for the whole of life.

SOHMA is an invitation to move with greater strength, live with greater awareness and build habits that continue supporting you through the years ahead.
